LOI is delighted to welcome its newest board member, Rev Dr Calum Samuelson. Originally from the United States, he has lived and worked in numerous countries, including the UK, Kenya, and Sweden. Trained in biblical studies and historical theology (MPhil, Cantab), his doctoral thesis (IOCS, Cambridge) focused on expressions of theosis in the Ethiopian Orthodox Täwaḥǝdo tradition. He currently works on Ethiopian and Eritrean Orthodox theological poetry as a Research Associate at the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies and a Postdoctoral Fellow at Sankt Ignatios College, Södertälje, Sweden (where he lives with his family). Calum actively serves his Methodist church by equipping, supporting, and training diaspora leaders and churches throughout Sweden and Northern Europe.
